Bear Crown

This is a crown for a handmade mohair bear. It is only 12 inches around.

This shows the crown before I painted the center of the flower with a green and then added pearl luster on top of that.

I have not done much this week..our pollen count has been 2000 times higher than usual!!! Isn't that crazy? Clouds of yellow pollen are everywhere!!

I hope everything is well in your neck of the woods!
hugs,
Dana

PS if you left a sweet comment and I didn't reply it isn't because I don't care, my computer froze up in addition to my not feeling well. Rest assured I apperciate each one of you and I enjoy your comments!!

I have had three orders for "copper" colored items this week...then I read that copper was going to be a "hot " color for summer!! I must be old..I just can't see it!

Will you wear copper this summer or wait for fall?

Hugs and happy day to you all

Edwardian Dress Project

Here is the drawing along with the fabric samples the customer sent. She makes beautiful dresses, this one is a gold silk with a dark rose color silk for the accents.
The cluster of roses and berries on the left are for the hat. The two small single flowers will o on the edge of the sleeve and the large cluster will hang from the sash at the waist.
This piece will be hung on a ribbon and used as a necklace. I used this trim and coffee dyed it and then formed it into a cameo type shape. I then added the ribbonwork flowers and cut the backing out of the bottom so it would be more delicate.

If my customer shares pictures of her dress I will be happy to share them with you.

Happy day friends,
Dana

Pins and Roses and Teddy Bear Crowns

Whee!!!! Boy am I tired....here is the ribbonwork I finished since my last post, now you will see why I have been missing!!
My favorite thing about ribbonwork is that each customer wants something different and has a different vision. I love to see their vision when I get finished.

The little fall colored wreath is for an antique German mohair bear. It is 14 inches around.

I hope you have had a great week!!

Hugs and ribbon flower dreams,
Dana
