Mixed Media Shabby Chic Ribbonwork Journal

I just finished my first mixed media ribbonwork and antique lace journal and thought you might want to take a peek.
It is about 6x9 inches on the outside with the inner pages a bit smaller.

I inclued 6 mini postcards and a thread trading card with a litte girl. Isn't she sweet?
Most of the lace was already this antique color, but I tea dyed the cotton duck pages before I sewed them to better blend.

As always, there are things to change on the next one, but over all I am pleased with it.

May each and every one of you have a wonderful and joyous Christmas season!

Hugs,
Dana

Kittens, Kittens, Kittens

I just wanted to share a picture of these sweet kittens .
Aren't they the cutest ever?

These little kittens were left under the hood of my sister's car by a ferel cat.
My sister pulled out four of them and got them in the house, went ack to get the other two and the mother had moved them!

After a couple of weeks of food, flea treaments and love they were ready to go to their new home. We found great homes for everyone and have had progress reports from the new owners.

Now we have to try and catch the two "outdoor" kitties and catch the mama cat and have her fixed.....this is the second batch of fury sweetness she has left for my sister! :)

Have a wonderful week everyone.....oh, and also thank you to everyone who voted for me on craftinest. I got in and will soon try to get opened there too.

Etsy's new feedback system and Craftinest

Hi everyone,
hope you all had a wonderful labor day!

I am sure many of you have heard etsy has changed its feedback system. Now etsy will ask a series of questions to the buyer for them to rate their experience . It will be a star system, from 1 star to 5 stars, with 5 stars being perfect.

A lot of sellers are worried that they will get poorer reviews  based on the idea nothing is perfect!...That may well be the case, that doesn't bother me. I have been so blessed to have such sweet customers. But the part that makes me sad is sellers can no longer leave feeback to their customers! I hate that...I always enjoyed letting my customers know how much I appreciated their business.
I do worry that etsy is starting to  become more like ebay....that would be a shame!
What do you think?

I did see a new selling site called Craftinest. Have you heard of it?
To get a store you must have one hundred 5 star reviews of your products from voters.
Not sure how that will work...hmm, we'll see.

I thought I would give it a shot.

If you are by their site I would appreciate your vote and if you sign up to sell there let me know and I will vote for you too!

Thanks and Hugs!
