How to make a ribbonwork rose from French wired ribbon

Here is a quick tutorial on making a rose with the French wired ribbon.

I am so excited! I have been waiting on this ribbon for some time and it finally arrived from France on Saturday! I have already "broken" into some of it, but still have more to open.

 

It is the "real, acetate French wired ribbon" and they are discontinuing it so I bought all I could afford! HA!...My husband doesn't understand that logic.....husbands...!

 

Here are some of the flowers I have made thus far.

Silk Ribbon Embroidery Needlebook

Just before Christmas I had a giveaway for some ribbonwork and soap. I had a wonderful time and met some wonderful new friends....

Imagine my surprise when I checked my mail on Christmas eve and and found a wonderful package from one of the people who won the giveaway!!!

I unwrapped my package and gasped, then jumped a bit and hugged my new silk needlebook!!!!

It is the most beautiful pale pink raw silk with lace and silk ribbon embroidery flowers.

It is filled with goodies, including needles,pins and beautiful silk ribbon.

It is all hand sewn!!!!!!!

It is so pretty that I made a new rose corsage pin to go with it!!
