Civil War Gown French Ribbonwork...FINISHED!!

I am finally finished with the civil war re enactment gown ribbonwork!

After I took the picture I realized it didn't look like the amount of work it really was! It is always hard to make matching pieces, all of the leaves and flowers have to be the same shape and size. I also had to dye bunches of ribbon for this job. There are approximately 40 yards of ribbon in this work.
There were 20 roses and lots of buds, filler flowers and hundreds of leaves!!

The two five inch round circles gown on the gown skirt, the four inch circle goes at the waist. The two large curved pieces go at the bottom of the bell shaped sleeves. The rest of the pieces go along the neckline and at the elbow and on the bonnet.

This has been a fun project and I will share pictures of the finished gown when I get them!

Have a wonderful day,
Dana
